Dan Berrigan and Wendi Ticao made Shining Rock Vineyard their own in 2020. Their work is hands on and personal, shaped by a shared belief in wines with a true sense of place.

DAN BERRIGAN
For Dan, great wine begins with the fruit and finds its balance through careful, hands on winemaking.
A cool climate wine specialist, Dan tends the vineyard throughout the year, then works through the ferments, barrels and blends in the winery. He favours minimal intervention and wines that clearly express their variety and region.
After graduating in Oenology and Viticulture from the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus in 2003, Dan built his experience across Australia and North America, including Tasmania, Oregon and Northern California’s Russian River region.
As a Winemaker, what I look for in my wines is personality and poise. The wines also need to clearly showcase the variety, the region and the vineyard from which they were grown.Dan Berrigan · Winemaker & Vigneron

WENDI TICAO
Wendi brings the story of the vineyard and the wines to the people who enjoy them.
Part of Berrigan Wines from the beginning, Wendi leads sales, customer service and marketing. She has helped with vintages, worked alongside Dan in the vines and built relationships with the people who share their wines.
Wendi has completed WSET Levels 2 and 3. Her curiosity about wine and her care for the people behind it are central to the way Berrigan Wines connects with its community.
