Creighton Farm 2008 Shiraz

Our most recent release, and already proving successful among the lucky few to have tasted!
A lower alcohol content than the 2006 Shiraz, and those looking for a lighter style of shiraz will enjoy this vintage.
Lightly oaked, good fruit flavours, smooth and elegant medium bodied Shiraz which is a beautiful accompaniment to food. This wine was bottled in September 2009 and shows early promise.
New release - yet to be entered in award shows
This wine will cellar well, and soft berry flavours will develop further over time.

Winestate's Best Wines of 2007
Pure and precise expression of fruit stands as the hallmark of this wine. Plump and fleshy, with a firmish middle showing a touch of astringency. Oak and fruit and well pulled together and its nicely weighted. Damn good value. 85/100

Creighton Farm 2006 Shiraz
Our first Shiraz vintage, resulting in a big, rich wine with a silky mouth feel and abundant red berry flavours. Growing conditions were ideal for our first Shiraz vintage, from vines planted in 1998. Open fermentation, then hand-plunged, basket-pressed and matured in American and French oak barriques for 16 months. Cellaring will definitely reward.

Winestate Magazine’s Wine of the Year Edition, 2007
This cool year was actually very good...and this is an excellent wine. A ripe, fleshy, fruit-driven Shiraz...it’s vibrant and lovely on the palate with lush flavours of plum and spice. Terrific value to grab some by the case. Quite delicious. 87/100
